Home      ERASMUS+: Our CROCUS courses in Wales

We have been delivering CROCUS (Cross-Cultural Workshops for staff in education) for the last ten years.

Our CROCUS courses are intensive, 8-day courses which are funded via the new European 'Erasmus +'

programme. They take place in Wales, in the beautiful area of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
CROCUS courses are task-based, 'learning-by-doing' and 'learning-from-each-other' workshops that require

your active participation at all times. Most of the tasks involve contact and communication with local
institutions or organisations or the native population. Depending on our target group, our programme can
entail visits to a nursery or school/college, an Integrated Children's Centre and the Welsh Parliament.
It may also comprise talks with Government officials in education.
Regular reflection and evaluation are  an integral part of our approach, and so is remedial work on your
English performance. In the evening there is always a delicious dinner waiting for you over which you may
practise your social skills.
Our courses aim to improve your English language performance as well as your intercultural competence. In
addition, we will familiarise you with Welsh and English particularities and the beautiful scenery of the Brecon
Beacons National Park.
Our CROCUS courses are residential and take place in the Manor Hotel in Crickhowell, Wales
where bed and breakfast and a two-course dinner in single accommodation will be booked for you.
